Educational and referral service

Competitive Rate is an educational comparison and referral platform, not a mortgage lender, real estate brokerage, loan servicer, credit-repair provider, or financial adviser. It does not make credit decisions, approve applications, set rates, or offer loan terms. Independent participating professionals provide their own regulated services and are responsible for their licensing, disclosures, advice, eligibility decisions, and terms.

Rates, calculators, alerts, and guides

Market indexes, historical charts, calculators, rate alerts, guides, and comparison results are estimates for general education. They may use assumptions that differ from an actual property, tax bill, insurance premium, lender quote, or loan program. A rate alert compares your target with the selected national benchmark after scheduled feed updates; it does not monitor a personalized quote in real time. These tools are not a commitment to lend, an appraisal, or a personalized offer.

Information you submit

You agree to provide information you are authorized to share and that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Do not upload passwords, bank-login credentials, malicious files, or unrelated identity documents. You authorize us to process submitted information to respond to your request, operate the platform, prevent abuse, and provide referrals within the consent shown on the applicable form.

Independent partners

A referral does not endorse, guarantee, or rank a professional’s services or terms. You remain responsible for evaluating a professional, verifying current licensing where applicable, reviewing disclosures, and deciding whether to proceed. A professional’s own agreements and privacy practices govern services they provide.

Partner network

Partner applications are subject to verification and approval. Approved partners must keep their contact, service-area, licensing, and billing information current. When paid lead delivery is enabled, a partner is charged the stated price only after a successful payment authorization and before borrower contact information is released. Declined payments pause routing. Duplicate deliveries, quality disputes, credits, chargebacks, suspensions, and exclusions are handled through the platform’s routing and billing records.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, submit deceptive or unlawful material, scrape personal information, impersonate another person, or use the platform to violate consumer-protection, privacy, licensing, telemarketing, or other applicable requirements.

Availability and changes

Features and data sources may change, pause, or become unavailable. We may correct errors, protect the platform, or update these terms as the service develops. The date above identifies the current version.
